Overview

Content on the web is often quite short-lived and URLs tend to break quickly. This phenomenon of hyperlinks becoming dysfunctional over time is called link rot. Although the phenomenon itself cannot be prevented, Easy Link Checker helps Confluence users to easily identify broken links in an automated manner. Behind the scenes Easy Link Checker makes use of a tool and library called lychee.

Currently, the Easy Link Checker offers the following two starting points:

• The space admin page allows space administrators to check links of the space

• The link check macro allows any user to check links of any pages or spaces
