As administrator of your confluence instance you can find the global configurations for the EDM in the Confluence Administration. Go to Easy Dropdown Menu Configuration Page in the Configuration section.

As space administrator you can find the space configuration in the Add-ons section of the space settings.

Dropdown Sets

The sets you define in the global configuration can be used in all spaces, the ones you define in the space configuration can only be used in the space you declared them in.

By pressing the + button in the Predefined Sets or Status Sets tab, you can add a new set. With the x button you can delete a set.

When pressing the edit button the Easy Dropdown Menu Set Editor dialog will open. Here you can create, change, delete the options for your set:

  • With drag and drop you can rearrange the order of the text options to your liking.

If you change a value that is present on a page, it will also automatically change it on the page and even reindex it for the filtering.

Be aware that the options are mapped with unique id's. If you delete an option that is used on a page you can not simply add another option with the same value.

Permissions

In the Permissions tab by choosing groups in the multi-dropdown you can define which groups you will be able to select from in the permitted groups macro parameter. If no groups are selected, you also won’t be able to select any in the macro parameter.

Users with edit-permissions on the current page can always manipulate the dropdown as they could also just go into the edit-mode and make the changes there.

Notifications

In the Notifications tab you can find the disable macro update notification checkbox. As the name suggests, if checked, then no Updated successfully notification will be shown when changing a dropdown value.
