Use Marker

If disabled:  You won't be able to access a variable through inserting/typing the marker symbol in the Confluence page.

If enabled: You will be able to access a variable through inserting/typing the specified marker symbol in the Confluence page.

Variable History

If disabled:  If the variable's value was changed, the updated variable's value will be replaced on all versions of the current document. 

If enabled: The Page History menu item enables the user to compare the different versions of the current document where the previous variable value was also used.

Silent Update

If disabled: If the variable's value was changed, the plugin will automatically create a new version of every page where the variable was used. 

If enabled: To the contrary, if the variable's value was changed, the page will not create a new version of every page where the variable was used.
